Default Newbie to Audi

Hi everyone,
Just purchsed a mint condition 99 A6 quatro with 59000 an decided to join this very informative forum hoping to exchange some info with other members.
this is may first audi but have been driving volvos and benzes for 20 years. The main reason for the purchase is the awd feature and safety record of the car, I live in Ct. and the winters can get s little rough.

I would apreciate some suggestions on what to do for now, I consider myself an advanced DYSer but don't konw this car yet. Should I stick with conventional oil as the previous owner or would I benefit from synthetic?
Should I be thinking about the timing belt? some people say 60K other 80 or even a 100K the car has not been abused.

Thanks,

AGC500

Welcome to the forums! Synthetic seems to be the consensus choice for Audi's.
