I came on this site to gain an idea of the problem I had with my black dsg v6 and I checked all that I had read from steerng rack to tr ends .
I would like to say that after spending 3 hrs messing around I noticed when the steering moved from left to right the top of the struts moved up and down I looked at the rubber and put y ear to it and the squeak was quite loud so I gave them both some neat fairy liquid round them and allowed it to soak for a few minutes turned the steering and surprise no noise days whent on and guess what noise back so I spent 30 quid and a few hrs putting on new rubber mounts on and two months later still as good as new no noise so before you start changing all parts give them a stay with liquid it might save you time and money
