Pleased to meet 'ya
Bob here.
I'm a new Audi owner (2006 A4 2.0 T) but I've always liked the VW's and Audi's.
My wife has been driving high mileage cars for most of the last 20 years. Our last new car was a 1987 Honda Accord purchased in 1986, which we still own and our 20 yr old son drives. Since then we have had family friendly cars which have served us well. I get a new company pickup every 3 years and currently have a 2006 Chev 4X4, so new cars aren't as big a deal for me.
Buying a fine auto off of the showroom floor has been a fantasy of my wife's for many years, so I encouraged her to pick a car she would enjoy driving for MANY years. Well, she did.
I'm a shade tree mechanic and I can make almost anything run. Computerized cars scare me a little, but I'm not afraid to work on them. Right now I have a 1967 Ply Barracuda, 1986 Chry New Yorker (daughter's car), 1987 Honda, 2000 Chev 4X4 pickup, and a bright red 2006 Audi a4 quattro!
I'll post some pics as soon as I can get my wife to leave the car in one place long enough to snap some pics!

Hey welcome to the forums, and congrats on your new A4! Audi's aren't too bad to work on. You have 4 years until you have to worry about that anyway! By that time there will be plenty of tutorials on the web for maintainance.
