How difficult is it to replace the steering hydraulic pump on my A6 1996 quattro automatic. The pump makes a humming noice (specially when cold) when the wheels are turned and lately I hear the pump motor continue to run after I turn the engine off. Can anyone help me decide whether to make the effort to change the pump myself or have an expert do it?
