Default Saying bye Infiniti G35. Hello A4/S4

Hey all,

I bought an Infiniti G35 about a year ago. I throughly love this car and hate to think about selling.

I love Audi's to death and always have. I am looking to buy a 03-06 S4 or possibly an A4 depending on options.

I am looking to spend about 18k. What can I get for around that price or less?

What are some common problems with these cars and what should I look out for when test driving them??

Thanks for your help!

Wilkommen to the forums!

$18K should be about enough to put you in a 04-05 S4 (B7). Be sure to lurk around the forums and read up about some of the more common issues. The S section and the A8 section should give you plenty of stuff to look for (the A8 shares the 4.2L engine in the B7).

If you are really looking for a project, you may want to consider a B5 S4 with the 2.7T. You can pick one up for under 10K and then have money left over for mods and repairs.

With any car, reliability is really going to be a function of how well the car has been maintained and cared for. Be careful of buying someone else's failed project or money pit as it is easy to get in over your head with these cars.
