yeah, i say go Audi for the reasons listed above, and i second the part of asking APG, some people give him a hard time, but he has been in the market for so long, he knows a lot about different cars now

Welcome to the Forums. When its difficult to make your decision on buying a new car, I would suggest try renting an Audi a weekend if your budget provides. This way you'll have the car for more than a test drive and you'll really get the feel of the car. I've always done this and this will make your decison easier. It worked for me.

Welcome to the forum.

Volvos are good cars. The S60R is great and I'm a big fan of the V70R. Volvo does not manufacture a vehicle though on the level of the S4 with regard to performance and style. Good luck.

I agree. I had a Volvo S60 for a while and I loved it, only I loved the Audi much more. Volvo's are great cars but when it comes to performance and styling, Audi has them blown away. I am at the point to where I think Audi has the whole car market blown out of the water. I say, go with the Audi, if you don't like it, go back to the Volvo. The S60R is pretty damn sweet!

So you're going from a 1998 S70 to a 1999 S70 T-5 OR an Audi S4?

If you're want your Volvo to go faster, don't buy another car, just get IPD to tune the crap out of it - it'll save you a lot of paperwork at the DMV. And you won't have to explain to your friends why you replaced a 1998 S70 with a slightly faster 1999 S70.

I went from a Volvo 850 to an Audi A8, and I love both cars. The T-5 will never outhandle an S4, so if performance is what you're after - Audi is your car.
