Hey guys.

I've been a life long rotary guy. Never have owned anything else, but always had a thing for the A4. I know NOTHING about audi though. So I was wondering if I could pick a few brains and figured here would be a great place to start.

I'm 24. I need to grow just a little. Still looking for some power, but with class this time. Tired of pumping all my money into FC's. Not that I don't enjoy it, it's just time for a change.

I just have a few questions about reliabilty, maintenance, engine life. I ask engine life cause I came across an 02 A4 3.0 for only $7,000. Me personally I think this is outta control cheap because I've paid close to that for a 18yr old RX-7. The carafax report was clean. the only thing it has hindering from me jumping on it, well besides my ignorance to Audi in general is the glaring 158,000 miles it has. Would this be a good buy or should I just pass.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.


P.S I heard to stay away from the turbo'd A4s. I heard audi turbos in general aren't good. Prove that wrong please.

... turbocharged A4s are f'ing sweet. There is so much more mod wise that you can do to them. Audis are only reliable as the way that they are maintained, so I would look at the service records (if available) check out the newbie guide https://www.audiforums.com/m_700266/tm.htm
