Default Thinking of an Audi

I have been a Volvo driver for many years due to the Ford affiliation I believe it is now time to change. I am really leaning toward an Audi sedan. What is the word?

I am 17 and just bought a 2002 Audi A6 2.7T and I love it. After driving a sentra / Q7 / and Z4 for a year the A6 brings everything together. It's fast, ridiculously comfortable, and tons of people think that I spend $$$$ on it when really I spent 7K less than this girl with a brand new camry at our school that doesn't turn heads

However, if you do plan on buying an Audi have a chunk of money on the side for any repair bills that you might run into.

Ew! Ford...Had that junk once. I've driven many a car, the really old(70s) and newer Mercs are tanks(the good kind). Steel contruction is safer for my family. Audi builds so that repairing can be done easily, unlike BMW who dont care how easy it is, which is why it cost more. I got my 2K S4 in 2004 w/100k miles for $17k(over $40k new)...having people think you spent alot on a car does make you feel good doesnt it? Regarless, when purchasing a car, do the research. I never buy new, because the car isnt proven and its value declines dramatically the moment you drive it off the lot.

I actually walked onto a lot and bought my A6 used only knowing that it was comfortable, had AWD, and was (fairly) good on gas. I had no idea how many heads I'd turn just rolling into a parking lot! Definitely go for it, they are affordable if you get them used and are all around fantastic cars! They rank up there with BMW and Mercedes. Of course, coming onto an Audi forum asking if Audis are nice cars probably isn't the best way to get an unbiased response, but they are great cars regardless.

Yea I remember the first day I came to school and parked in the lot the dean was saying hi to everyone and he commented and said that he liked my car. Even a lot of my moms friends that come over thinks that I paid more for my car than the did for their brand new cars and can't believe its a 2002. They think its a 2008 / 2009

Many thanks all--Usually i just walk in and say i want this or that Volvo having to shop for a new car is not fun. Glad that you all like your Audis as that seems to be what i will buying. Used of course bc an new car is such a waste of my money and something i have never done.
