Default Transmission whine when cold

Hi. I have a 2003 Allroad, 4.2. Does any one know what would be causing what sounds like a transmission whine when under medium acceleration when the vehicle engine/drivetrain is cold? If acceleration load it lessened there is no noise. As the engine/drivetrain warms up, more acceleration can be tolerated without any whine. Once warmed up there is no whine under any amount of acceleration. The whine is engine rev based. Thanks.

The whine was found to be an idler bearing on one of the belts. Replaced and noise gone.
