unusual airbag light behaviour
hi all
I own a 2008 TT 2.0TFSI, bought back in 2018 already with some mods (intake, exhaust) and a remap ~240hp
I was wondering if anyone with a tune has seen this behaviour --
my airbag light comes on / off with a very predictable and repeatable pattern.
After getting up to temp, when applying constant, low throttle, the airbag light comes on. If I let off the pedal it goes away.
This never happens when the engine is cold. It does not happen at full throttle either.
It first started to happen during summer, after being in stop/go traffic for a while, but is now happening during the colder months and regular driving.
I have not noticed a drop in power when this is happening or otherwise...
Is it common to have some sort of signal/sensor mapped to a dash light? intake temp? what could it be telling me?
The shop that tuned it is quite far and, lazy as I am, wanted to avoid the 4hour trip to diagnose.. and postponed it for a few years already
any feedback appreciated
