Upset Audi
So the other day when going to downtown Chicago, I tried to open the door to my car and to my surprise I couldn't for the life of me open the car. I tried to use the keyless entry but the batterey died, so then I went on the less sophisticated route and tried the manuel way of opening the door with the key. A simple task that would not take more then a second turned out to a full flegged war with the car. Everytime I turned the key to open the car, the door would unlock and then right alway lock itself. This went on for at least 20 minutes until I finally won the battle. This was the first time since I owned the car did this happen.
On another day while leaving school I noticed that my RPM's would redline everytime I let go of the clutch. At first I thought it was me with myright foot, however this was not the case. It seemed everytime I depressed and let go of the clutch my rpm's would redline, and while in gear the car would speed by itself, without me pressing the accelator.
Any thoughts or comments?

Well as far as the car locking itself i have no idea, but the rpm's racing is common on older 1.8L engines because of the cruise control rod sticking holding the throttle body open. Try dis-connecting the rod at the throttle body and see if it goes away.
