Default Warm start issue and now coolant light

My TT is a 2002 1.8T with 66k on it. (under warranty untilNov. 08) It hasn't had issues except the lighting but even the dealer gave up and replaced the whole unit.
So my car sometimes won't stay started when it's warm. It always starts when it's cold, but if I run up to Starbucks and go to the car it will start but then die immediately. It sometimes won't stay started until the 4th or 5th time. Acts as if it's starving for fuel. Also, it doesn't matter if I give it gas or not. With gas pedal applied it will start...rpm spike...and die.
last week Audi dealer had it for a day and couldn't get a fault code. Told me to frive it til it leaves me stranded.
Then yesterday when I started it the coolant temp light came on the red one that looks like a flag. It stayed on for about 3 minutes and then went away. It's fine. Otherwise, the car has been a gem.
Any ideas??
Anything will help.
