hey welcome to the forum. What Audi do you drive?

 

Just bought a 2001 TT quattro 225 HP. AND LOVE IT!!!!! I went from a full size Chevy Truck to a pocket rocket.
I cant wait to do MUCHO engine mods to it. I am an aircraft mechanic, and closet gear head, however Im new to the whole Audi/Quattro experience so I am going to have questions a plenty.

 

Cant wait to see some pics... have you done any mods to it yet?

 

Nothing major. I just put a K&N filter in it, and some engine detailing. Thats about it. The first thing that I want to do is change wheels. It has the 17 inch LARGE 5 spoke, polished wheels on it right now. And Damn, they are HEAVY!!!!! Im thinkin around 35-40 pounds each!!! I want more go than show.

 

I have heard that it would be advisable to stay away from K&N airfilters... they will coat your MAF with oil

 

Aircraft mechanic? What do you do? I'm an avionics technician.

I am a Maintenance Controller for a fleet of 15 Private Charter Aircraft. Citation X's, 560's, Falcon 2000, and Embrear Leagacy's.

Coats the MAS with Oil?!!! Really? F*CK I hope not. That thing cost me 80 bucks!!!! Ok next question then....whats a good filter to go with?

 

Mobil filter and oil i'd say, what i use on mine and most people here use it
