What up
from what I've herd of the K&N, if you jast give the oil coating a l'il time to dri B4 you install/reinstall it you won't have the oil-coating of the MAF to deal with. dunno myself. i think a couple of guys run K&N W/O problems
You shouldn't have any problems with K&N Filter. The problem alot of people have is when it's time to clean the filter and oil it yourself. Alot of people put to much oil causing oil-coating of the MAF. It's recommended to leave the filter out to dry a little after you oil it.
Normally, it comes oiled nicely from factory, so you won't need to worry if you just got it.

Yeah, I just picked it up, so I havent noticed anything yet. I have used K&N before, and unfortunatley I am familliar with over oiling. [:@] I greased the entire R/H side of my Chevy after trying to oil the filter drunk. Wont be doing that again.
Hey....
I need some advice from some people out there...I'm torn between a 2003 A4 3.0 quattro and a 2002 S4 2.7T quattro. I know there are pros and cons to both...can some people give me some opinions on what would be best?
