Thumbs up bitturbo engine

I have had Audi's for the past 20 years. I currently own a A6 3.0 but am considering an Allroad with the 2.7 biturbo engine. What has been the general maintenance and durability experience of owners of this engine?

Thank You

Bud Becker

Fantastic engine, very durable, the weak point is the turbos, but if you pick up a low miles car and take of the turbos they should last a long time. Other than the turbos and timing belt maintenance there is not too much to complain about

Default 2.7t

bought an a6 2.7 w 48kmi about a year and a half ago, now have 89,500 just did timing belt, and chipped. only had one problem had a coil pack go but was still under cpo. and would have been cheap any ways.

Also nothing77 i see that you say u did a 6 speed swap was it in an a6 i was wondering about this for mine. Did you do your self or pay some place I dont see many people talking about it. would love to run ko4's etc. but am worried about tip like every one.

I test drove an A6 3.0 and had for a couple of weeks an A4 3.0 (problem child I returned)
Both were "fine" but unexciting, I wanted a car that would get my blood pressure up a bit. My Allroad does it. I'm getting the timing belt service done now, bought it a year ago with 84K miles now at 102K the engine feels really tight and smooth. I like it a lot.
