K04 limitations?
the what other ones out there are good besides the obvious dahlback even know for 800 and free upgrades sounds pretty nice considering i have a mod problem and like to do new things constantly so i know ill be upgrading the k04 soon. im just trying to lay the best hp and times with a k04. ill keep the turbo till my goal is reached then i think im gonna go with that k16 ur talkin about if it doesnt require too much trouble mounting it.
It will dude, the k16 is a big turbo, Im pretty sure it took dave thousands to get it right. What kind of racing do u do?Do know the gt28rs only run low to mid 13s? Dave was running lows 13s with his ko4, ko4 has potential, just need some help with other mods to break in mid 13s.
It all comes down to what kind of racing you want to do. The atp eliminator turbos are a good route if you want the low end spool. If you are looking for flat drag racing, then go with a t3/t4 and sacrafice that low end. Those turbos will suck for auto-x but on the track they are the only way to go. Look at hondas, 500 whp is common place with them.
Is there someone that will socket ecu's and sells the software to tune it? I dont trust anyone to tune my car but myself. Sending someone mods and afr's, and letting them guesstimate a tune is a crap shoot to me. Id rather be on the dyno and make the changes and see the results for myself. A guy I work with made 295 (1.8t) with revo software doing that and his car detonates like a SOB. he swears its an exhaust rattle but whatever....
Thanks guys,
Mark
