so i just got home from just driving to AutoZone. I just put in an aFe Cold Air intake last night and a forge splt-r last week. I put one of the hoses too close to the exhaust manifold and it started to melt on my way to school this morning. so i got the new hose and when i got home i opened the hood and noticed that my turbo was glowing. i have never looked to see if this is a usual thing.. is it?

alright cool. i was 99% sure but i just wanted to double check. it was smoking minorly too. is that also normal?

 

it shouldnt. You may have a minor oil leak either from the valve cover or the turbo oil seals. If its just a minor amount, i wouldnt worry to much about it

 

well my turbo mainfold is glowing cherry red and so is my highflow c.a.t.
