Nos for Audi TT
Hey guys,
I'm considering putting nitrous on my 2001 Audi TT quattro. As I've been thinking more and more about it I seem to run in to one problem, I heard of this thing called "limp mode" what is it and how do I avoid it?

It depends how much you spray, and how. If you only add 50 hp or so, it might not throw any codes. If it does, the codes might clear after a few key cycles without nitrous. It all depends on how sensitive things are (usually O2 sensors), how much you spray, and for how long. How you engineer the system also factors in.
Unfortunately, this is one of those scenarios where you kind of have to do it and see what happens, and then work on the results.
I think if you are conservative with your spray (less than 50hp), don't hit it for too long (the top of high gear only, if you're on a dragstrip), and everything else is in fine shape (especially head gaskets), you'll be okay.
If you want to get serious about nitrous, you need to engineer the engine and its control system to deal with it. Not easy on these cars.
