Default speed/Gas milage?

hey i just got a 1999 A4 1.8T Quatro. I just have a few questions. ..

my gas milage is horrible, ive been putting in 93 octane premium but im still only getting about 160 miles per tank i drive it pretty hard but i think that number is a little low...thats somthing like 10 miles to the gallon??...have any of you guys experenced this same problem...

and also i'm a little dissapointed with the cars off the line preformance, its slow off the line and seems like all its power is in the higher RPM, which makes sense because of the turbo but i was wondering you you guys knew of any decent packages that would boost my HP. I've been looking at turbo packages like ATP and a PES but they are really expensive and i was wondering if anyone knew of any other solutions?

Thanks

you may need some new O2 sensors. They can cause low fuel mileage. Also, have you tried any fuel injector cleaners? I've had good results with Regane Gumout.

As with anything else, when in doubt, read the directions.

OK, so when was the last time you checked for codes?

How long has it been since you have chenaged spark plugs?

Most likely your precat oxygen sensor is bad. That combined with pure city driving will give you bad mileage.

I drive pure highway at 80 mph and get 29 mpg
