Default supercharger turbo combo

Ok so with a 2.8 there are almost no good options. A rear mount with lots of lag, or a supercharger. What if you redid stock internals and made up a system using both a PES supercharger and a rear mount with a 1 way valve that would give you additional boost. Wouldn't this provide great starting and ending boost from the supercharger with also good High RMP boost from the turbo. The turbo could also be used for cruising to save on milage. Obviously this would require a stand alone. thoughts?

i would just get a smaller pulley and new rods so i can run much more boost and have 0 lag instead of trying to reinvent the wheel.

Also, VW just released a car in europe that have both or twin charged. It is a 1.4L making 120hp and 160ftlbs and gets almost 40mpg

yeah and doing a multiple set up would cost a ridiculouse amount. you would have to get some sort of multi stage tunning.

S/C kit =$6,000-$10,000
Turbo kit = ~$4,000
Misc parts to make the two work together= $1000
Tuning would be rediculously hard, = ~$1500

You're looking at spending like $15,000

Just buy a different car.

Twin charge is easy if system is desighned right. Pople do this. But for 2.8 an SC is all it needes.
