hey ya ppl

i own a 'a3 1.9 tdi 130 sport 6speed' chipped to 190bhp but its just not enough power i just a little slower than my bosses mitsubishi evo 9 mr fq-360 and i wanna have it to make him mad that a evo aint much better than a derv on the 'straights'

im wanna keep my standard turbo its sweet for the bottom and but it lacks boost at the top so my ambition is to add a big turbo aswell, i dont want turbo lag so takin the little turbo off is no option

so my question is will i need any more parts or is it a easy bolt on job? or will i need a new intercooler and stuff and other things im overlooking?

please some1 i the know get back in touch with me thanks!

Ummm, you wont be able to beat an Evo as easy as you think. An Evo can easily upgrade to a high hp car with very little money, far less than an Audi.

With turbos now, a sequential setup isnt needed. But you will have to give up some low end to have more top end, its just physics. But for best answers and results, join here http://forums.tdiclub.com/and you can have access to far more info

yeh but to tune a evo you would have got a 320 or a 340 not pay the extra for the 'ix mr fq-360' bits and its new turbo, so you can tune it and he cant till after his warrenty it up so i got the time to chew this thing, i really aint far behind it he gets no head start as he cant 0-60 as the clutch goes after 3 full on starts so he 0-60s in the same time as me 5secs instead of the book 3.2sec time

i want another turbo, id opt for nos but their is too much to it and you gotta get more etc etc i need a big turbo for the top end cos at 100mph the evo still has the drive while my 5th/6th wurr away

http://www.autoblog.com/2007/01/17/e...the-mr-fq-360/

this is the motor im talkin about only 200 made so its quite rare its rated better than the fq-400 as the 400 has too much lag and no vvt

We in the states dont have or car for the upped Evos. They all here just dump everything anyways and get over 300awhp easy. Most jsut dump the stock turbo and get a gt30 or gt35r and run daily at well over 500whp

Looking for a flange to fit the 300. ebay turbo on my 1.8t - anyone have a clue about this???

Dual turbo dude - what about doing a supercharger/turbo combo... may work better than adding a big turbo to your 1.9??? just a thought....

ebay turbos are trash. Also, adding a supercharger to a stock turbo is pointless, both are low end parts.
