when does the turbo kick in?
hello
i have a 2010 A5 which according to TSB's
has problems with failing diverter valves and wastegates and their control rods. so, to avoid 3k$ repairs, i would like to drive to avoid turbocharging as much as possible.
how can i tell when the turbo operates?
i have a scangauge which can display engine rpm, gallons per hour, mpg, load percentage, throttle angle. UNFORTUNATELY, the manifold air pressue cannot be shown.
might the other readings be a proxy for when the turbo operates? and if so, what should i look for?
