This is now the second turbo I have bought on ebay in the last week or 2 and it, like the other looks to be brand new. I actually just won it and paid less then $180 shipped for it. I actually have a Garrett GT3076R that I am going to pass up for this one. This turbo is interesting since it looks a lot like the Holset turbo which shares a lot of parts with both Borg Warner and Schwitzer. I really can not wait to get my hands on this baby. If you look closely at it you will see that it has a billet compressor.

My thoughts are currently using this with a quick spool valve. I am about 90% sure this is a S2B turbo or something very similiar. The S2B is very close to a T3T4 in size. The turbine looks a lil big but I guess we will find out once it arrives.

I was rockin a Ebay t3 t4 and it pulled strong for 10K and never fell apart. I put on a Garrett one now. as long as you avoid the manifolds and cheap chinese metal bits (wastegate pieces included, cuz thats a real pain in the ***) you can get some fun out of em. Not a bad way to spend 180 bucks, however, Garrett turbos are top of the line and worth it for reliability and strength, the only way to get screwed is on labor really. If your doing it yourself go for it.

 

Uh you even look at what I bought? Just because I bought it off eBay does not mean it is eBay crap turbo. It is an authentic Schwitzer turbo that is closely related to the Holset and Borg Warner. I actually think this is S252 which run north of $1,000. The guy that sold it obviously did not know what it is and advertised it very poorly.

The eBay turbos suck. They are junk but yes some people have some luck with them. Garrett is good quality but hardly the best.

The eBay wastegates work fine. I have not seen one fail yet except when the idiot installed them had their head in their ***. There is hardly anything to a wastegate.
