I have a water leak problem passing through the footwell on my 1996 audi a4 2.8 quattro. I've read on several forums that this is a common issue with audis. This problem occurred when the hurricane passed last week and all the water build up around the battery started to leak through under the footwells. Now, is there a way I can drain all the water filled up under the battery? drill holes?

You have to physically clean out the rain train. Just remove the battery and ECU then clean any leaves and dirt you see in the channel.

Edit: Clean the sunroof drains too: http://www.audiworld.com/tech/ext61.shtml

If you reach down there you will pull out leaves. Blow it out with air. You'll be shocked how much **** come out.
