Does anyone have experience with buying an Audi in canada and bringing it to the US?
I just priced an S5 sportback (with most of the gadgets) in canada and the US. After conversion, the canadian price came out to around $55000, whereas the US price is just over $64000.
That is a *hefty* difference. I know that importing vehicles from canada to the US is subject to an import duty of 2.5%, but even after that the difference in price is still a cool ~$7700.
Has anyone had experience with buying an Audi in Canada (as a US citizen living in the US) and importing to the US?
What is the process like?
Is it worth it?
