New Member in Norristown, PA
Hi All,
I just purchased 95 cabriolet that has been sititng for a while and needs some work. If anyone is in my general area, please contact me. I have never owned an Audi. I am originally from Germany and plan to do most of the work myself. I did purchase the Bentley manual. Issues are too numerous to mention. The car does drive. I am looking for a good mechanic for the big stuff as well as someone with a diagnostics computer/software. Thanks, Ralf 610-331-9479.

Hey, where in Norristown are you from? I'm on Markley street.
dafrazi is from around here too, If you guys don't have anything planned for the weekend it might be worth getting together some place for a couple of hours.
I'm on Chestnut Avenue across the street from Visitation (the huge church that sits close to Trooper Road)
Dan, has a mechanic that he uses...I do most of my own work but, I've heard good things about German Auto Specialists on Ridge Pike (just before all the car dealerships). Dan takes his car to someone else. I can't remember who.
I'm looking into getting a VAG-COM setup but haven't yet made the decision to buy.
Norristown is a Philly suburb.

it's the dealership , but i've had nothing but good things to say about Holberts Audi/VW/Porsche in Warrington
I'll pay the extra $20 an hour for the piece of mind of having their techs working on my car

Don rosen left a *bad* taste it my mouth when it comes to dealerships. They quoted us $100-200 or so for a service the hit us with a bill for $600 without any advance notice of the "additional work" that they did. Then proceed to tell us the car "should not have been sold it its present condition" and it would be another 4k worth of repairs to get it "road worthy" and they would be "happy to take care of that now, while the car is on the lift if we'd like"
Well, after I asked to see the leaks that they claimed were there "it leaked oil on a techs head when he lifted the car, so the seals need replacing immediately" they refused to show me this so called leak. We took it up to Lou at genuine auto and he laughed. The engine seals are slightly seeping and will need to be replaced in the next 30k miles or so but by no means was the car "not road worthy". AND in don rosens complete "check up" they failed to even notice the fact the ABS light was on and wanted us to take it back and pay another $150 for them to check and/or clear the code... Fool me once, shame on me etc...
