A: NO!!! Should be MANDATORY 4 YEAR service, for ALL, upon reaching 18 years of age, then FREE kolladge, if you want to go.

A: As to "why" that should be mandatory - it helps promote responsibilty and accountability to the otherwise vast majority of useless wandering teenagers of our society. Seen it work wonders in Germany.
