AVON TECH M550 AS Tires Snow Review!!
I cannot tell you how happy i am that i got these 2 months ago!! I know a few guys on here got them and others were thinking about getting them...
I went to my flight school for some ground instruction and then when i came out it there was about anywhere from 1-2 inches, depend on where you were.
I had some fun in a parking lot as u can see in one of the pics.
These tires are amazing!!! They handle like there is no snow on the ground!! Especially when you have ESP enabled, but even if you dont they are still awesome. i spent about 20 minutes ******* around and getting the car to slide and do something out of the ordinary. Control is awesome! Braking and stopping is really really good!!
RAIN: A+
SNOW: A+
DRY: A+
well thats about it.. im really happy i got them! enjoy the pics. ehhehe and look at how awesome and fine the snow is.. check out the ground!

Sweet I wasn't sure if you could get ESP on 1.8T B5's... good to know, though! I sure dont' have it...
I played out in the snow yesterday with my dads B6, it's chipped, sport pkg, with pirelli snows on it right now... i always appreciated ESP as a safety feature, but when I am playing in the snow, I turn it off... I find I can drive better with it off, when I am paying attention to everything... however, if I were just driving along, and lost control, I'm sure ESP would bail my *** out.
It's good stuff overall, I certainly wish my car had it.
EDIT: oh and glad to hear about the Avon's! I've told people to buy Avons before, everybody loves them... Like I've said before, if I lived in USA I'd buy them.
