Your driveway is not the Mexican Border. They can stop you in your driveway, write you a ticket in your driveway, and arrest you in your driveway. They can even do any of these things while off duty in their personal cars in different towns then they work in. These are the cold hard facts, like it or not. Best advice is not to get into a cat and mouse game with the 5-0! It will never be to your benefit.... You mention something about your headlights and this was the cause he wanted to stop you, my suggestion is if you have some stupid color like yellow, blue, or purple you go back to normal white ones or it wont be the last time you wind up in this mess.

To keep the cops from bothering you when you are in your driveway, you need to run out of the car to the largest tree in the yard and yell "HOME" as you put your hand on it. That makes it all better.
