Default career?

im 18, about to graduate, and have no idea what my direction is. i've always been into cars and i thought about being a salesman? i don't know much about it, but i think i could be good at it. anyone have an advice for a young impressionable mind? (any other good career advice is welcome)

beacause that piece of paper means that you will make a **** ton more money in the long run and you will always have something to fall back on

As a non college graduate, I agree with the rest of them. You could even be a salesmen and get your degree at the same time, but its important. I don't know how many jobs I could have had where I was the right guy for the job, and even more qualified that the other people, but I didn't have "that little piece of paper". My wife is almost done with her Masters degree and at the ripe ole age of 29 regret not finishing my college. Look at it this way. If you go and end up not using it for a while its a nice fall back, even if its something your not that interested in, however, what if you spend 4-5 years looking for that right thing to do, only to find out that some college graduate gets the job instead of you.. Just some food for thought.

full time school isn't going to work for me. working and taking classes however would be ideal. so what kind of jobs are out there for a person in my position? (and back to the original) how do i become a car salesman?
