This statement always irks me........... just goes to show how close minded some Americans are.

Three. Four if you count Ebonic. This winter I plan on adding either Arabic or French to me repertoire of linguistic abilities, to go along with my really bad German and my quickly fading Italian. American, too, of course. And a bit of bloody English, to boot, in the boot!

Let's HIJACK this and turn it into a "how-many-languages-do-you-speak" type-thang...

I can barely speak English half the time ( the time spent drunk I really cant speak it) I can understand Italian but can't speak it yet ( the joys of working for an Italian company) a little bit of spanish, and thats it. My aunt tried teaching me Japanese but it was useless ( shes from Okinowa) so really i only communicate in English

What about sign language I can flip the bird like a champion!
