yeah, I'm pretty stoked about it. I'm gonna go to kragen tomorrow night and get a new battery and see if I can limp home. I ordered a Bentley manual for it too. I think I might actually keep the 8v engine and do a few bolt ons for rally cross.

Lucky for me, I still have my Audi to get me to work tomorrow. I actually scared some girls in a mercedes next to me when I was taking it home. They were looking down towards the floor or something and I reved my engine - you should have seen them jump.

What u should do is leave all the dents and those sick rims on it and do the motor and suspension - sleeper: and scare the crap out of everyone on the road when u put the foot down[sm=gears.gif]

I replied to your vortex thread too... but add alternator to your list -- the battery alone will not fix your problem.

 

Yeah, I just picked up an alternator last night, I'm gonna put it in today. I didn't want to try and fix the car 2 miles from my house, so I brought it home by jamming a battery jump-pack on top of the transmission and driving home real slow. I was kinda hoping to get it fixed to drive to church today, I want to show it off.

Got it all up and running, took me about 15 minutes to figure out how to pull the alternator, 20 to drive to and from the parts store to get the old pulley swapped over, and then about 5 minutes to put it back in. Starts and runs like a champ, but I noticed the e-brake needs adjustment because it rides. I also found a pack of condoms in it from the p/o... I can only imagine what else I will find. Next weekend I'm thinking about tearing apart the interior and making sure any contraband is removed.
