hey everybody. my family and i are taking a one day vacation to niagara falls NY tomorrow and i wanted to get some tips from those of you who have gone there. i want to know what to see, besides the waterfall, where to eat and things to do. i've done a little bit a research but hearing from first hand experience is a better bet. TIA

also how does the niagara discovery pass work? do i have go to each consecutively? i want to each after i ride the boat

no point in seeing the falls from the american side... only see about a 1/4 of it! Go to Cananda side its a blast!

 

Never been there but would like to go one of these days. Sorry can't be much of a help.

+1 for going to Niagra Falls Canada! Better scenery, better restaurants, better shopping, cleaner, nicer view

ok i just got back. i'm not sure what you mean about not being able to see the whole thing. once you're on the boat, you see everything. i just wish they could take us under the fall on the boat lol.

i have to say it was pretty fun. it was a good day too, not too hot or cold. i think the best part was the cave thingy, whatever it's called. you could almost go under the fall. you'll get soaked there if you really want to be. as far as going again, i don't think so. maybe i'll check out the canadian side one day though. i'll post pix when i'm done editing.

 

ahhhh... should have had you hit the canadian side for some cloves for me.

The falls are pretty cool. I had my friends girlfriend convinced they chlorinate the water before it goes over the edge, and thats why it foams so much at the bottom. Some dude was standing about 10 feet behind her, and overheard me. Was trying his damnedest to not bust out laughing.
