Ive only been playing for a few years, no lessons. Score in the mid to low 90's. Didnt get to play any last year which sucked. Have played once this year and finally straitened out my drive and cleared 300yards. Im only 155lbs now but have swing speed of over 110mph

I've been playing for awhile now, still not great. I'm good until I start putting, I've lost countless birdies and pars to 3 putts. I never drink on the course only smoke green.

I use a Aldila NV 65g Stiff Shaft. Ill let loose with the driver, my irons i slow it down a bit due to a slightly shorten swing so i take it on plane better. I give up maybe 5yards for more predictable distance and slighty better accuracy. My game improves every season which is nice since like i said, have never been coached in any way. Get to play some tomarrow so ill see if i can get my crappy short game working (chip and putt) which costs me atleast 5-8 shots a round.

This is the country club i use to serve at. The course was wonderful and i got to play there on weekend afternoons and mondays for free which was nice.

Now i play a couple nice public courses in dayton and around cincy.

So is anyone else like me with a high driver/wood swing speed and a more tempo based iron swing? My wood swing speed a few years ago was ~115mph and my irons have to be closer to 100mph.

Did get to play a couple rounds at a par 3 course and my short game was surprisingly better than usual. If i can get my just of the green and putting to not kill me, im sure i will be shotting mid to low 80's this season since i finally got the extra 20+ yards i was missing out on with my drives.

chip and putt is the best to get good at short game. As for swing speeds with irons it varies on wind conditions cuz i live right on the gulf coast and from mid feb till june we have average 35mph winds so on days when its real windy i take a club more then what i play and use a 3/4 swing to stay in control. But on non windy days its gripitandripit. I hit my irons super high my pitching wedge goes about 155 but if u want to score well use the 3/4 swing and i gaurentee u will drop 5 shots. Jus take one more club then u normally do and stay in control and down on the shot. One of the courses i play at its awesome right on the ocean. http://newportdunesgolf.com/layout10...=190&page=6317
