Hey AF , ever hear of an IRC JAVA APPLET. Its basically a chatroom that works through java. It would be pretty cool to have that put up on the forums. Its very easy and free. Its just a suggestion , if you want more info PM me.

 

hell ya, threads turn into chats sometimes. i think its a great idea. my old forum (won't mention) had a button up top for an AIM (aol instant messenger) chat room that is always open to forum subscribers. no one ever went in it, but AF guys are friends, for the most part so i think it would be great. maybe admin or amanda should be emailed by a mod..

 

I did bring this up about a month ago, and I was told by Amanda that bandwidth is an issue. Chatrooms take up a lot of it apparently, so the idea was dropped. Sorry guys, unless something has changed within the past month, it's a no go. [:@]

 

also conversations would fade away.. i like the fact right now, that I can come on hours after you post something and still throw my 2 cents in

lol , I understand about the bandwith thing. Thats always an issue. Being able to come back hours later though and see what people are talking about and what not is so convenient. AF will own no matter what. Forums them selves are very conveniant.
