Default Another great idea - SMIC cooling..

So i was going thru some parts from my motocross collection and found a small 6 inch radiator fan.. SO Me being a great engineer i decdided to put my logics to the test.

I took the small fan and adapted it to the SMIC. Hooked in a switch in the drivers cockpit to turn on/off on the fly. I have to admit. There is a GIANT difference in temps! I vag log'd the temp's.. its nearly a 25*C drop!!! I am going to build a custom shroud. Maximzing the effiency of the fan.

In the morning im going to do a DIY/Write up about it. If anyone is interested.

sounds interesting. I'd love to see the set up and see what parts you used. I'm assuming the wiring was fairly simple?

You should make it easier on your self and hook up a temperature activated switch so you don't have to do anything.

You could always do an fmic, that works too. Or just run the intake through a seperate pipe instead of though the pancake pipe, you know, the one that's built into the radiator.
