I hate cops. They're losers.

It's a shame that the profession, which deserves the respect, is runned down because few incidents make people believe what is not true and disrespect the entire force.
Thousands of Offficers those who died on the line of duty, what was it? They died on their duty to keep us safe, and this is what youcall them in return?
It's a shame that instead of calling the drug dealers, mafia, murderers, and gang bangers, you are calling 'pig' to the very people those who protects you from these criminals.
This is not the world I knew.

Police don't even mess with the run down areas where crime is actually heavy. I know its dangerous.. but if you wanna serve what you claim to want to serve then that risk is gonna be there.

Notahondaowner, you come off as a hardass. But its very tough to tell online, cause im a dick but all ofsocal loves me in person

Actually I'm one of the most easy going officer's on my department. I don't like to bother with this thread becaused it's based on rash generalizations and poor judgement calls. It actually makes me a bit sad that so many of you "hate" cops. I am quite tame with people on this forum and do my best to keep my composure even in threads such as this one. This thread is a prime reason why I created my main thread here where you can ask general police questions and I do my best to answer to help you understand why departments treat matters in the ways that they do. I know there are officers out there who are totally out of line, I have seen them, heard of them, and worked beside them. Perhaps some of you have encountered more than one officer who treated you poorly, but to say you hate all officers because of them and think they should die is one of the most immature statements I have read on this forum. Most of us, police, are here to help you; yes even you folk who tell usyou think we should die etc.
So that's fine you can sit there and type that you think I am these negative things, off what comments I have made that you are getting this feeling I am unsure, but I assure you my first sentence remains quite true. Just remember it's attitudes like those that are being displayed here by some that will guarantee your encounter with police will be negative because you are coming into the encounter with a negative attitude. Hopefully you will never need our services, but if you do I pray that it will be a positive experience. Personally I feel that a good portion of this is that you have a chance to talk negatively directly to an officer while behind a computer screen, I ask myself how secure a person must be if this how they validate themselves. If anyone would like to have a conversation with valid points I am always open to conversation, but when I read arguments such as: Crime still exists so what good are police, why bother? People slam police officers saying we don't do enough. Ask yourself this, "What have I personally done to prevent crime?".Most officers devoteour lives to stopping crime, if you think we do it for the pay you are sadly mistaken. It is easy to complain on crime rates when you have no concept of what officer's jobs entail when placing criminals into our awful legal systems. Policing by far is one of the most hated professions when most of the population has only a slight idea of what the job really entails. The things most officers will have to endure in their professions are burdens I wouldn't want to place on more than half the criminals I have arrested.
In essence, please don't be so quick to stereotype an officer based on your experiences with a few, what you saw on tv, internet, etc. I know most of the people who already commented negatively here won't take anything away from this post. I have confidence in the fact that many on this forum are decent intelligent people and will understand where I am coming from with this post, I know this because I don't focus on threads like this where the negative posters come out of the woodwork.

Well said NAHO. I Hav had more decent experiances with police than not. Even when I was arrested (shocker, it was my fault)the arresting officer asked me questions about my jeep and was actually quite friendly. And back in the day one cop gave a buddy and me ride a few miles up the road when it was raining like a SoB. Any negative encounter you have with an officer is more than likely your own damn fault. My brother in law works for DPD and he works the overnight shift in theworst area of town, does he have to? No, he has a 2y.o. son at home and could work a regular (safer)shift, but he enjoys what he does and feels he makes a differance doing so.To say all cops are pigs is ignorant,if you don't break the law you don't need to worry about ever having a negative experiance with them.
