Some of you may remember 3 weeks ago I washed and waxed Karlmarx's car. It dropped 3 shades. Well since i am addressing his swirls and his interior today and tomorrow i need to remove those layers of naty's blue wax. The commonly best way to do that is Dawn dishsoap. It is considered the best,easiest,safes way to remove wax.

It did nadda, i have the pictures to prove it. This is great for showing the staying power of natty's blue.
Process i used.
4oz of car wash, and 4oz of dawn in foam gun.
applied on car 32:1 let dwell for 5 min.
Re-applied to mit and car as i washed.

Rinse= water beaded like mad, nearly dried by the time i finished washing.
Sheet rinsed and i only needed 1 drying towel typically i use 2

 

btw dude your wheels were filthy!..:P I was really suprised. I think that tire gel held alot of the dirt. I washed it vigorously and will be appling the stuff i have on mine in replacement.

It's only washed right now... I'll up pics when i can tonite. right now i am stuffing my face as fast as i can untill i am finished. I have to clay, spot work some of his lowers and then prep the tires and wheels, then tape, then start polishing. I easily have 10 hours to go today.

 

damn... cant wait to see the before and afters.. for those that dont know Grouse does some amazing work!!

 

LOL she is clayed and taped. that red looks amazingly good with blue painters tape. almost supermanish.

Going to head down and start polishing here after a bite and a drink.

 

I think I know, but what does the take do for you.

 

tape?

It keeps the mess and compounds/polishes out of all the nooks and crannies. It saves me about 3 hours of touch up work after i finish. this one has taken me about 1.5 hours of time to tape off.

 

got ya. I was thinking mayby some on the hard edges so that the polishing didn't take the paint down. Oh the rubbing compound days.
