lol you can apply that in flying quite alot actually..

I'm gonna try that from now on
Never say 'OOPS!' Always say 'Ah, Interesting!'

the correct vernacular for an Oops at a time like that is "Oh ****, OH ****, OH ****". If you don't say it three times, its not official.
^^^I'll bet it depends on how SOON you discover the error... For instance, on takeoff, "Oops, I left the flaps down >>>SMACK<<< (hits the ground), wudn't be appropriate, would it?
well, in that case the flaps are down until 400' for us anyway. then we retrackt them. but Sence I have to check it in three diff checklists befor we take off, I doubt that would happen. the Oops would probalby happen If I were flying by my self. having a very qualified person up in the cockpit with you kinda keeps that from happening two often.
OK enough of the work talk. Oops, I forgot that I was doing 85mph in a 55.
Officer: Do you know why I pulled you over.
Me: No Sir, why was that?
Officer: you were speeding like a mad man.
Me. 'Ah, Interesting!
Yeah I don't see that going over to well.
