I am relatively new to the forum, so I apologize in advance if this is in the wrong location.

I am in the market for an Audi. I previously had a 2005.5 Audi A4, but that ownership was short lived, as Carmax pulled some very shady stuff.

I am thinking about the same B7 A4 or a B5 S4. My question is, what kind of issues should l look for regarding these generation of cars. I know a little bit about the B7, but any additional help would be greatly appreciated.

I do plan on making this my daily driver, then will make it my project/ grocery getter car when I get my S5

The obvious factor of price aside, why not just skip right to the S5?
