The Morning Coffee Thread
Pot is brewing and I'll be headed off to work soon. The wife and I have finally found "the one." We're picking up a 2009 Maxima with 6K on the clock, and fully loaded to the nines. I love the new body styling on the new Maximas, and this little gem is incredible.
Congrats on the new car. I think you made a great choice too.
It's weird how I hated the car when it came out due to the weird looking headlights but it started to grow on me, especially after seeing a fixed up one.
You are still keeping the Audi though right?
Didn't have coffee today but just went out and got my self a green tea latte from Bux.

Yep, still got my little A4, plan on keeping it long enough to let my oldest son have it (3 more years) then upgrade myself to a (?). It was hard to find any Audi's out here, but we're happy with the new purchase. We traded in our '04 Pacifica, dealer gave us 2 grand over KBB, which was about 1,200 more than I owed, so I'm overall very pleased with the whole transaction!
Damn, how did we let this fall to the second page? Enjoying my fresh cup of DD right now, gonna go get schooled by my 11 and 13 y/o in COD MW2 on the Xbox for a few minutes, then figure out what to do with the wife today. It's our 13th anniversary today! I've been in the military just over 10 years, been to Korea for a year (without the family) and been deployed 4 times, yet she stands strong by my side through it all. SHe really is the most amazing woman in the world.
And there is my Morning Coffee rambling...

Happy 13th!!
Been 21 years here as of July. Please, give her a big 'ol hug from an old Navy Vet who knows just how hard it is on the wives left behind and how lucky we are to have good ones who will put up with it!
And, while your at it, swing by Veterans Benefits Network.. never too early to learn what your due and the Wife can hang with other Vet Wives who know the know, ya know?
Oh, and having a good 'ol cup of Navy Brew right at the moment.

NAVY COFFEE
by Cdr. Rod Mooney, USN (ret)
For Greeks, ambrosia was OK,
But used up all a sailor's pay.
Tars worked for grog instead of wage
But as for me I love to hug
A good old Navy coffee mug.
Its fragrance cuts the salty air
and Wafts me far away from there
It's best when made so it can stand
Without the mug, just in your hand,
And crusted mugs from watches back
Are germ free if your coffee's black.
Beware the canned milk on the bridge,
It's likely never seen a fridge,
And if it fails to pour or run,
It's left from World War Two (OR ONE).
But don't spill coffee on your boots
Your socks will soon start growing roots,
And if it penetrates the deck,
The panicked crew could cause a wreck.
Way down below, the engine crew
Prefers an even stronger brew,
And sometimes as they ply their craft,
They use the stuff to grease the shaft.
When Navy coffee's thick and black,
It guards against a heart attack,
And if it's strong enough, I'm sure
It functions as a cancer cure.
But best of all, it makes the days
Pass quickly in a caffeine haze.

Happy anniversary to you and the wife bro! Hope you guys had an amazing day today. She definitely sounds like a great gal. You're lucky to have her!
And MW2? I'm gonna be honest, I suck at that game. Played it on PC and I sucked so bad. I personally think the game play is too slow compared to other PC games that I'm more used to. I think I'm getting too old for games.
Anyway, haven't had a lot of time for the forum lately. Didn't have any coffee today. Heading to the dentist to check out my toothache. Freaking sucks so bad.

Thanks guys, the wife and I did have a blast. We went to a Japenese steakhouse where the cook the food right there with a little entertainment, then went to the casino for the hell of it. Started playing some slots and looking around, and the roulette wheel caught the wife's eye. We stood and watched for a minute, learned the house rules and dropped 20 down to give it a try. She was conservative, won some, lost some, then I plopped our last 5 bucks (from the 20) on 33 and hit... 175 bucks in the pocket. We played some more, and I hit some more slot machines, but she is hooked on roulette now like no one's business. Ended up walking out with 100 more than I walked in with, but we had a great time too, which made it so much better.
Just gave my baby a early morning bath and about to head to work... First and only cup is about finished...

Sounds like you two had a great time! Glad to hear!
Still no coffee. Can't have caffeine with the pain killer I'm taking.
Dentist soon tho. Although I generally hate going to the dentist, I look forward to going this time.
