I quite enjoyed my day. Then tonight I went to the Portland branch of NWQuattro's dinner get together. Pretty disappointing, all of three of us turned up and from what I hear its kinda typical of the Portland branch. It was good to get out on the slick roads with Quattro though.

Another disappointment...

Oh well, last day of the week for me, sipping on some home brew before heading to work...

It's currently 6:34 right now. I'm having the first cup of the day before I take off.

Well, the long weekend is almost over. I'm enjoying my first cup as I shake the hazies out of my head.

Apparently my dad tried to cut off his thumb and first 2 fingers on a table saw last night, on his left hand (of course, he's left handed). He came out of surgery last night around 9 EST and from what the docs told my mom, they had to fuze the joints on his thumb and index finger because the damage was so bad.

He turns wood as a hobby, makes really nice pens and all kinds of stuff. He was trying to get a website started www.myturnwoodturning.com Worst part is, he was probably working on Christmas presents when it happened...

Anyway, if you are the praying type, send one up for him. Of course, my Dad is ever the comedian... when I called him, he was laughing about it and full of jokes...

I'm sure your dad is a great guy. All the best goes out to him. I wish him a speedy recovery and he will for sure be in my prayers.

It's about 2:05 AM right now. I just got home from hanging out with some friends. Gonna drink one last cup before I hit the bed.

4 more days before the weekend. I'm kinda stoked.

Are you stoked about the weekend, or that it's still 4 days away?

Headed to work here in a bit, enjoying my morning brew...

BTW, the old man is home from the hospital and doing well. He hopes to start woodturning again within a week, but he doubts the docs will approve...

it is tough to keep a good man down but sometimes it is better to wait and get that extra healing and can be even better then otherwise half *** feeling

glad he is out and doing better.....

try french press with grinding your own french roast whole beans......
