well if you can find a torque converter from another a6 around the same year you can swap them. it'll save you some money versus buying a new one. the labor will get you though, i'd say 1000 or so for labor depending on where you live

Listen, I respect when young people get a car that they really want with their own money and run into a problem that they cannot afford to fix when something unexpected pops up. This isnt the case here though. Why would you sink all of your money into buying a car knowing that it had a $2000 problem you could not afford to fix? I don't want to sound harsh but sell the car, the bills are not going to stop.

^ ^ ^ What he said!

I cringed when you started to talk about how you had no "monei" to fix a problem that you knew existed when you bought the car. Bad decision to buy the car, dude!

Learn grammar and spelling, get a job, and fix the thing and sell it. You can't afford a 2.7T. If you fix the trans, the engine will get you next.

Listen, If you don't take the simple steps an adult should to correctly spell
words and have some sort of correct grammar, You're not going to get help.
It's not hard to spell and use correct grammar. Not saying perfect but C'mon, At least
TRY to seem like your somewhat educated.
End forum rant/

Wish you luck with the car.

I am sorry I didn't know you were such a baller. Your first post made it seem as though you were a young guy who just needed a little advice, I now see that you are just a crybaby. Back to the topic, drive the car with a for sale sign in it so when something breaks on the S4 you can afford to fix it (maybe). Oh and if you want any serious answers you must provide us with the check engine code. Go to Autozone and have them give you the code for free.

clutch's are for manuals torque converters are in automatics. There is no such thing as a torque converter clutch. The auto trans does have a few hydraulic clutches internally and if any of those are bad then you need a new transmission or rebuild. The 2.7t is a very high maintenance engine. Your S4 may not be giving you issue's now but just wait it will! And its going to start at 500 bux and go as high as 3k. No point in having the A6 as well... get something that needs a bit less upkeep like maybe a Geo Metro.

As far as the grammar. If you don't at least try then we don't always understand what your trying to say and most of us will not reply when we have to try to understand what your saying.
