Mmkay, tell ya what. Take the Guy Fawkes mask off as your avatar, take the fifth of November quote out of your sig, shut the **** up about the Vendetta movie, and then you can harrass me about bomb and terrorist references all you want without sounding like a hypocrite.

And I'm not going to get into the whole of Irish politics in this thread, but suffice it to say, likening it to Osama was just about stupid.

V for Vendetta is a fictional movie! The IRA bombing people is not. How the hell is it different to IRA terrorists blowing up Omagh, Warrington, banbridge, have EVERYTHING to do with Osama. It's all about some people who decide to get what they want, they decide to put bombs in public places, and blowing the ******* up, killing and maiming innocent people who happen to be in the area. Yeah, likening the IRA, the their like, on both sides, to Osama is absurd isn't it! You may well want Irish independence, or whatever, but that does not alter the fact that the IRA are terrorists, and your comment of "why waste time verbally berating them, just do like my family did. Bomb them" is NO different to anyone eho supports Islamic terrorists, or their ilk. You think it is a gigglesome matter, when it is not. A terrorist is a terrorist, regardless. laugh away...

Two very detailed studies of deaths in the Troubles The CAIN project at the University of Ulster and Lost Lives [14] differ slightly on the numbers killed by the PIRA but a rough synthesis gives a figure of 1,800 deaths. Of these, roughly 1000 were members of the security forces - British Army, Royal Ulster Constabulary and Ulster Defence Regiment, between 600 and 650 were civilians and the remainder were either loyalist or republican paramilitaries (including over 100 PIRA members accidentally killed by their own bombs).

It has also been estimated that the IRA injured 6000 British Army, UDR and RUC and up to 14,000 civilians, during the Troubles
