Default ok so this is annoying.

Seriously I've looked at a lot of threads lately and I almost always see at least one person who tells the people asking the questions that they should use the search engine on the website. Well ok I can see that a lot of you are fed up with new people asking the same old questions. But honestly this forum is here especially for the new people to learn and ask questions. It can be a bitch to do a search and look through tons of threads that may not even answer your question properly. So if you're tired of hear the questions asked over and over again, don't open the thread. Or if you open it unknowingly, don't post. If you're gonna post, you mine aswell post something helpful to the persons question other than telling them to go look somewhere else. This is where they're looking. Maybe the information has changed since the past threads. Just be friendly and lets help eachother out.

Thanx

I think most of the time the questions are ones that NEVER change they are asked on a daily basis and it can get very very repetitive so they best bet for them to get any sort of answer is to search, yea people cold just not post but then they obviously wouldn’t even know to search....... And I know its stupid to just say search but sometimes its necessary, I personally try to be as helpful as possible even if it is the same question but in time you will see that it gets old very very old and you too will find yourself saying SEARCH

Well in that case maybe they should put a banner, or bold letters, or a sticky thread that says something like "New? Have a question? Try using our awesome search engine before posting!" or something cheesy like that.

And if i ever get to that point i'll just shoot the noobs and move on better for their cars if they aren't alive to ruin them lol

Well to find something.. you got to work a little bit.
And looking through threads is not that bad...they help you anyways.
So why not just relax.. do a search..increase ur lingo + knowledge..and if u still cant find it..then post a thread..you are always welcome to do that.

Well I guess I agree and disagree. I think noobs need to search!!! You just find out more and there is alot more depth in what you find. The majority of my questions have been answered by just looking around. I've even been able to help people with the things I've found. And I usually recommend they go search. Searching is just basic common sense. Better to find and know the information for yourself than to have to completely rely on what one or two people told you in a forum. My problem is the way the message of "go search" comes across. When you have some 20 year old kid running around on forum with 800+ post to his name (799 or which were probably telling noobs to search, not putting out anything useful, I'm being facetious) I find immature and degrading to the nature of Audi and to the forum in general. You may have to say it as long as your a member, but just saying it politely in a response "do a search" is a lot more constructive and mature than running around with a rat and a machine gun stating I hate noobs. Hell, I would half near be discouraged from even buying an Audi from how some people on here clown. Must be a back woods thing. lol.

i think the problem is people dont search, and read the things that state, read this first.. ie posting in the correct forum.. (something like this should be in Off Topic)

Well, waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy back when *I* was a n00b... I DID do a search for the info *I* was looking for, and determind that id didn't exist, before I went posting all W~I~L~L~Y - N~I~L~L~Y. But, that's just ME. I suppose if you were raised on sugar-frosted Cocoa-Puffs your attention span wud be severly limited, and so you'd need a *microwave* answer, rather than taking time out of YOUR busy life to research, first!

i agree w/ jaxter
the website design is lacking a bit. the font is too small for the list above and they should appear as tabs and highlight depending on which tab a user is on. there isn't enough attention drawn to that area and it doesn't help having the flash ads on the side, its too busy....
maybe a bit more like the http://www.cardomain.com/ setup?
i'd even donate to development and i know AWDaholic would also

We could design a GIANT search button that glowed bright green at the top of each page and have it say "This search button brought to you by Sadize & AWD".
