ok so this is annoying.

Seriously I've looked at a lot of threads lately and I almost always see at least one person who tells the people asking the questions that they should use the search engine on the website. Well ok I can see that a lot of you are fed up with new people asking the same old questions. But honestly this forum is here especially for the new people to learn and ask questions. It can be a bitch to do a search and look through tons of threads that may not even answer your question properly. So if you're tired of hear the questions asked over and over again, don't open the thread. Or if you open it unknowingly, don't post. If you're gonna post, you mine aswell post something helpful to the persons question other than telling them to go look somewhere else. This is where they're looking. Maybe the information has changed since the past threads. Just be friendly and lets help eachother out.
Thanx

Between the search button here and Google, there's no reason to rehash the same old **** constantly. Maybe it doesn't bother you because you're not one of the people who has had to see the smae threads on the same subject started over and over and over. If people can't find the info anywhere else, that's fine, but if they're just too lazy to find out on their own, screw em.
For example, if you were to type "Abobe Reader FAQ" into Google, the very first link is a FAQ answering every question a person could have about Adobe Reader. Simple right? Oh, no. No, evidently, there needs to be a thread about it, because some people can't do anything for themselves.

We could design a GIANT search button that glowed bright green at the top of each page and have it say "This search button brought to you by Sadize & AWD".

This sort of thing happens on every single forum out there, newbies ask questions which longer members have seen asked time and again. No amount of sticky "need help" threads will work, its just a problem were all going to have to learn to deal with Im afraid.

Well I guess I agree and disagree. I think noobs need to search!!! You just find out more and there is alot more depth in what you find. The majority of my questions have been answered by just looking around. I've even been able to help people with the things I've found. And I usually recommend they go search. Searching is just basic common sense. Better to find and know the information for yourself than to have to completely rely on what one or two people told you in a forum. My problem is the way the message of "go search" comes across. When you have some 20 year old kid running around on forum with 800+ post to his name (799 or which were probably telling noobs to search, not putting out anything useful, I'm being facetious) I find immature and degrading to the nature of Audi and to the forum in general. You may have to say it as long as your a member, but just saying it politely in a response "do a search" is a lot more constructive and mature than running around with a rat and a machine gun stating I hate noobs. Hell, I would half near be discouraged from even buying an Audi from how some people on here clown. Must be a back woods thing. lol.
