Got home to find a nice 4-5" on the ground. Still not enough, though.

TT has been out of commission since last winter, but here's a pic from the best night I had with it last winter. We got close to 2' one day, and we went out playing that night. Was all fun and games until I packed snow so tight around the engine that I threw my serpentine belt.

Will have some good pics with the 4000 by the end of this winter for sure. Setting up some screw stud tires now.

For those of us who took a year-long hiatus, what happened to the TT?

Short story-
I threw a rod on a stock motor while sitting in traffic.

I had some trouble with fuel pressure months before, failing fuel pump was supplying only a third of the pressure it should have been. Never threw any codes, but I have to assume it was the root cause of the catastrophic failure.

Short term fix was to buy the red 87 4000CSQ with quattro script seats for $240 so I had something to drive to work in, and the TT went into my storage unit. Turns out the $240 car is more fun than the expensive one, and the TT sat all summer, and continues to sit. Started planning an interesting build for the TT, but I've got too many projects going on, and some bills im trying to pay off, so its slow to move. Sorta thinking I should at least put another stock bottom end in it so it can move under its own power.

That sucks. Very nice on the 4000, though!

Yep. Love it. My first Audi, and the car that started it all for me was an 86 4000S that I drove back around 2000.

The lineup:
86 4000S
99 2.8L A4
2000 180hp TT
2001 225hp TT
87 4000CSQ

Sorta owned a 5000 around the time of the A4, but that never saw the road and ended up getting scrapped. Sat in a field for too long.
