On a sad note, her son passed away last week. He was a retired US Coast Guard member who died from skin cancer. I was fortunate enough to be able to be a pall bearer, was a very sad service.

Afterwords, she invited everyone to attend a reception they were having in John's honor. It was a pretty crazy party, but everyone said "That's what John would have wanted".

Author J.A. Jance has about 30 books on the New York Times Bestseller's list. I didn't even know it was her untill someone tipped me off on it. She's a very cool lady, and I'm glad I was able to meet with her. To date, that's the biggest "celebrity" I have been able to meet in person.
