Default TT engine conversion

okay so here is the question, if you had a tt and money was NOT a issue. What would you do?

A. Keep the peppy 1.8t 225 hp variant. Work it with some easy to get and do mods. End up with a somewhat reliable 320 whp car. 80k on motor

B. Make some trades and get a VW R32 engine and tranny (yes it is still a O2M but better ratios) then just do the one mother of all mods.....turbo kit and make a very reliable 400 whp. 15 k on motor.

Alot of you might be quick to say that a 80 whp difference isnt worth the time and effort but its not only the that, the vr6 will have more torque available faster and smoother the the 1.8t, and it will be much more reliable with boost on it since it will be only running .6 bar ( 8 psi).

I am totally at a crossroad here. I really have been having fun with the stock 225 1.8t but i think there is room for improvement on the power band and gear ratios, for my driving style at least. also i love taking road trips and need the reliability. Throw out all opinions and suggestions. thanks

vr6. 1.8t is fun but only to around 400 hp if your lucky. get the vr6 and then upgrade to the HPA twin turbo and crank out 500hp easy.

I say go with the VR6, for two reasons:
1. Fewer miles on the block. Thats gotta be gooder, rite?
2. More HP & TQ w/o a blower means LOTS MORE with one, rite?

thanks guys, but i got to tell you this is like the hardest decision ever. i am definately leaning toward the vr6 but everytime i drive it now i get a big smile on my face, actually everytime i get out of it im thinking screw it....just keep the 1.8t, its good enough. but i do know myself and i am never quite content with good enough. but thanks for all the input so far.

I say go the V6. I am a V8 guy myself so I love the torque and low stresses that get exerted on a screaming 4.
