turn signal color

does anyone here knowe if I have to have yellow turn signal indicators, or can it be a flashing white bulb instead of am,ber, im removing the amber insert in my front turn signals on my '00 a6 tomorrow and i want to know if i can put a white bulb in there, i can buy them at best buy. Thanks. By the way, I live in Illinois if they vary by state.

you would need to replace the bulb and take out that yellow reflecter to have a completely clear look

is it legal to have it all clear and no yellow. I f i have to leave the bulb in, thats ok, but if i can remove it and replace it, im going to

as far as i know, any signal has to be amber, or red in the rear. if u try to go for a driving test without amber signals, they wont admin the test. but if u got ur full licence, then do it. only a ***** cop will pull u over, and u can say u bought the car this way

Go for clear bulbs that blink amber. White bulbs are for honda ricers. lol.

you can get a can of high temp silver spray paint and put a light coat on the amber bulbs. they will look silver but still illuminate amber.
